Who likes to be in the nature and have a special place on his own is here right. 
There are 3 stone cottages belonging to the Quinta that are build on several different terraces situated on 1 ha of land near the river Rio Mondego. From some places you have a great view on the valley with the river.
The houses are cozy and heatable, so you can also feel comfortable in when it is colder outside.
There are many nice places to hang around either in the shade or in the sunshine and also different possibilities for leisure time activities.
You can reach the Quinta by a dirt track, which is nevertheless good to use as well in the summer as in the winter.
It takes 2 km to Póvoa de Midões bakery and a little Coffeshop, 4 to 6 km to Midões with its restaurants, pharmacy and Post Office, and
6 km to Tábua, where you can find nearly everything such as a bank, many different shops including Supermarkets and a hospital.
60 km to the zu der University Coimbra.
The next train station is in Carregal do Sal, at a distance of 7 km. You can take an IC to Guarda or Lisboa for example.
In a distance of 15 km you will find Oliveira do Hospital that has an international bus station.
To the airport of Porto you will need about 1 hour and 50 minutes Lissabon Airport is at a distance of about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car.
If you want to go to the ocean beach you can drive to Figueira da Foz (about 75 minutes by car), but you can also find several river beaches in 15-40 minutes.
In the other direction is the nature protected area of the Serra da Estrella, where you can do skiing in the winter or hiking (about 40 minutes to drive).
